The latest news on venues opening across the UK.

Retro arcade bar and restaurant brand NQ64 has just opened its biggest site yet, on Old Street in London’s Shoreditch. NQ64 now has ten sites, with a pipeline of more openings in cities including Bristol.

 

The Barworks group is setting up a major new location for its Mare Street Market concept on Lewis Cubitt Square in King’s Cross. It will have 18,000 square feet of space over three floors, with space for 700 people and various food, bar, retail and leisure operations. The original Mare Street Market is in Hackney.

 

Three brands are opening at Leadenhall Market in the City of London this month. Argentinian Grill, which operates at Boxpark and market venues, has just opened, with Taiwanese bubble tea brand Yi Fang following shortly. Lebanese restaurant Baba Ganoush is also due to open before the end of the month.

 

Nando’s opened on London Road in Brighton this week—its fourth restaurant in the city.

 

Mexican brand Chipotle opened at Westfield London in White City this week. It now has 16 UK sites.

 

US brand Wendy’s is to open in an old retail unit on Commercial Road in Portsmouth, local media report.

 

Bristol’s Left Handed Giant brewery is opening a fifth bar in the city at the Carriageworks development, local media report.

 

Indian street food restaurant group Tamatanga is opening at the Headrow in Leeds this weekend. It will be the brand’s first site outside the Midlands, where it operates in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham.

 

The Estabulo group’s Japanese-Brazilian fusion restaurant Sakkusamba will open at the Broadway shopping centre in Bradford next week. Sakkusamba’s first restaurant is in Manchester. The group runs 11 restaurants under the Estabulo brand, plus several other standalone concepts.

 

Midlands-based pizza restaurant group Pizza Triangle has just opened at the Teal Park development in Nottingham. It is a fifth location for the bran, after Hackney, Solihull, Stoke-on-Trent and Walsall.

Amsterdam-based vegan ramen brand Ramen Impossible has just opened a pop-up at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle—its first venture in the UK. It will run until late August.

 

A Japanese barbecue restaurant concept called High Yaki has just opened on Newport Place in Chinatown London. It is a 3,600 square feet unit with two floors and 150 covers.

 

The Black Sheep Coffee brand has signed for an opening at the Victoria Place development in Woking.

 

Midlands-based Thai restaurant group Sabai has just opened in Solihull. The brand also has restaurants in Moseley, Harborne, Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham.

 

Italian pasta and gelato brand Badiani will open on Hildreth Street in Balham in early July. It will be Badiani’s 11th unit in the UK.
