Northwood, the latest new sports bar concept from the Maven Leisure group, has just opened at Angel Central in north London. The 3,600 square feet unit is on the first floor of the centre.
The St Enoch retail centre in Glasgow has announced openings for four restaurant brands including Wagamama and Wingstop. Also opening at the centre are Glasgow’s German doner and peri peri chicken restaurant Yayas and street food and takeaway concept Salt and Pepper Station.
The P-THREE agency has secured two new sites for Rosa’s Thai in Scotland: on West Nile Street in central Glasgow and on Frederick Street in Edinburgh. Another Rosa’s opening is following in Westfield White City soon.
Dishoom is opening a bar and café called The Permit Room in the Lanes in Brighton in November. It will be Dishoom’s first standalone bar, and will have an all-day food menu as well as beer and cocktails.
Tortilla is recruiting for a new opening in Norwich, local media report. The exact location is yet to be announced.
Popeyes has confirmed two more new openings in big English cities in mid to late October—on Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester and the Meadowhall retail centre in Sheffield.
Padel Social Club is opening in a 13,000 square feet space at The O2 entertainment, leisure and retail centre in Spring 2024. It will have three padel courts as well as a bar and cafe with menu from a rotation of restaurants and chefs. It joins several other experience-led venues at The O2, including iFLY Indoor Skydiving, TOCA Social and Boom Battle Bar. Padel Social Club runs courts at Soho House’s Babington House and is also opening at Empress Place in Earls Court.
Hollywood Bowl is opening at Sovereign Centros’ Merry Hill development in the west Midlands. It is in a 36,000 square feet space on the upper level of the centre, close to the recently-opened Wagamama.
Heartwood Collection has acquired the White Horse pub and hotel in Dorking, and will reopen after refurbishment in early 2024.
Nando’s has received approval for plans to open at the Woodside leisure park in Watford.
Noodles brand Oodles has just opened on Union Street in Aberdeen—its first site in Scotland.
Competitive socialising group Flight Club has set 17 November for its latest new opening in St James Quarter in Edinburgh. It will be the brand’s second Scottish location after Glasgow.
Midlands-based Indian street food style brand Chai Green is to open in Sheffield, local media report. Chai Green has three restaurants in Birmingham and one in Cardiff.
Fitzrovia-based west African restaurant Akoko is opening a second restaurant called Akara in Borough Yards.
Topolabamba, a Mexican street food style concept with sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow, is to open a third location on Byres Road in Glasgow’s West End, local media report.
Wendy’s has acquired a site at Captain Cook’s Square in Middlesbrough, local media report. It adds to recently confirmed launches in cities and towns including Leeds, Peterborough, Guilford, Derby and Cambridge.
An independent restaurant and bakery called Rottura is to open at the Brentford Project in west London. It has been set up by a contestant on Masterchef: The Professionals.
