The latest news on venues opening across the UK.

Vietnamese restaurant group Pho has just opened at centre:mk in Milton Keynes. It has taken a 4,100 square feet unit with 100 covers. 

 

Five Guys has received approval for plans to open a restaurant at Brayford Wharf in Lincoln, local media report.  

 

Indian street food style group Mowgli says it will open its new restaurant on Corn Street in Bristol in December. It follows a delay to the refurbishment of the building there. 

 

Caravan has confirmed plans to open a major new coffeeshop, restaurant and bar on Drury Lane in Covent Garden later this year. It has taken a two-floor unit in the Grainstore development there, which will become the biggest Caravan location so far. 

 

Mission Mars’ pizza brand Rudy’s has submitted plans to open a site in an old bank unit on Victoria Street in Nottingham. Rudy’s meanwhile launched its 19h site in the Harborne area of Birmingham this week. 

 

The south London-based Four Hundred Rabbits Pizza brand is to launch its latest restaurant in Battersea Rise in the next few weeks. It will be a sixth location for the group after Crystal Palace, Elephant & Castle, Herne Hill, Nunhead and West Norwood.  

 

Fried chicken brand Wingstop has acquired a unit at the West Quay development in Southampton as it continues a rapid rollout in the UK. It currently has 35 sites with several more to follow by the end of the year. 

 

LoungersCosy Club brand will open on Cornmarket in Oxford in the autumn, local media report. 

 

The Urban Pubs & Bars group has announced plans for a new venue at Waterloo station in London. The Victory will be a 5,000 square feet unit and a first travel location for the group. It is due to open in September. 

 

Taiwanese brand BAO will open at the new Battersea Power Station in London next week. It will join branches of BAO in Borough, Kings Cross and Soho, plus dumpling house BAO Mary at St Christopher’s Place. 

 

The Red Oak Taverns has secured two new openings, after acquiring the Croft pub in Wednesbury and the Bulls Head in Clipston. Both sites were acquired from Everards. 

 

Italian wine bar group Veeno is to launch at The Hub in Milton Keynes in the autumn. It will be a tenth location for the brand, with several more new openings in the pipeline. 

 

Gino d’Acampo’s restaurant group has just opened a rooftop restaurant and bar at the top of the INNSiDE hotel in Liverpool. It is called the Gino d’Acampo Sky Bar Terrace. 

 

Indian restaurant group Chennai Dosa has opened on London Road in Derby It is a 14th location for the brand. 

 

London’s pasta restaurant Notto will open a second site on Henrietta Street in Covent Garden later this year. The original Notto is on Piccadilly. 

 

Newcastle-based The Estate Tea Company has opened a new café and bar in the Heaton district of the city. It plans to open more sites across the north east after securing new funding. 

  

US-style restaurant and bar brand Buck’s Bar will open on Hanover Street in Edinburgh later this year—a second site in the city. Buck’s Bar also has three locations in Glasgow.
