Wagamama has received approval for plans to set up a new restaurant in Clarks Village outlet shopping centre in Street in Somerset.

 

Rock n’ roll Americana style cocktail bar MOJO has launched on Liverpool ONE’s Hanover Street. It is a relocation from a site on Back Berry Street in Liverpool’s city centre. The two-floor, 3,500 square feet unit joins six other locations for MOJO across northern England, in Harrogate, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield.

 

Loungers will open the Costello Lounge in Cramlington in Northumberland by Christmas, local media report. It follows a new opening in the Northumberland town of Morpeth, with another in the county to follow soon in Hexham.

 

Steakhouse group Gaucho launched at the Hayes in Cardiff this week—its first restaurant in Wales.

 

Five Guys is planning to open a new restaurant in Riverside in Norwich, local media report. The unit previously occupied by Frankie & Benny’s would be a second site in the city for the brand.

 

Central Bay, a major new food hall at Media City in Salford, has introduced the operators for its opening in late September. The 400-capacity site will have 20 different food offerings, with a bar operation from the nearby Seven Bro7hers brewery.

 

US brand Wingstop opened at the WestQuay development in Southampton this week.

 

Football bar and restaurant concept Toca Social has set out plans for its third UK site at Westfield London. The 35,000 square feet venue joins the original Toca Social at the O2 centre, with another to follow at the Bullring in Birmingham.

 

Pieminister has just opened under franchise on Victoria Street in Derby.

 

South east Asian concept Sticky Mango will open its third location at Cain’s mixed-use Islington Square development shortly. The deal for the 2,200 square feet site was brokered by the Shelley Sander agency. Sticky Mango’s first two restaurants are in Waterloo and Tower Bridge.

 

The Restaurant Group’s Barburrito brand is recruiting for a new opening on North Street in Brighton.

 

Coqfighter is opening on Wells Terrace in Finsbury Park, in a unit recently vacated by Neat Burger. It is a relocation from a nearby unit in Finsbury Park. It will be a sixth London location for Coqfighter.

 

Vegan group Club Mexicana is about to open on Market Row in Brixton—its fourth site alongside Shoreditch, Soho and Seven Dials.

 

The Doolin Rock Pub Company has opened a fourth pub—the Acorn in Barking, following a joint investment with Greene King.

 

Kuckoo, a cocktail and music bar with sites in Chester, Knutsford, Preston and Sheffield, is opening a fifth location at Palmyra Square in Warrington, local media report. It will launch in late September.

 

A new sushi restaurant called Sukoshi Sushi opens on Earlham Street in London’s Seven Dials Market shortly.
