Pizza Pilgrims opened its latest new restaurant on Queensway in London this week. It is an 85-cover unit.

 

Argentinean steakhouse brand Gaucho says it is opening on West Nile Street in Glasgow in February. It says the restaurant will serve ‘carbon-neutral’ steaks and have a zero-waste policy

 

Noble Inns, the group behind London venues Smokehouse, the Pig & Butcher and the Princess of Shoreditch will open their fourth venue next week—the Pig’s Head on Rectory Grove in Clapham. It will be a sustainability-led ‘pro-planet’ site with virtually everything reused.

 

BrewDog is to open at Millennium Promenade in Bristol, local media report. It will be a second venue in the city for BrewDog, joining a bar on Baldwin Street.

 

The Burger & Lobster group says it will open a tenth London restaurant at the start of 2022. It hasn’t yet disclosed the location.

 

The Six By Nico group is opening a new 34-cover restaurant called Beat 6 in Dennistoun in Glasgow in mid-November. It is a charitable venture that will pass all food profits to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

 

Various Eateries is opening a new pasta restaurant concept called Noci on Islington Green in London. It will be in a unit previously occupied by Cote.

 

Duck & Waffle is opening its first restaurant in Scotland, after securing an 8,400 square feet unit on the fourth floor of the St James Quarter development in Edinburgh. Duck & Waffle also has restaurants in London and Hong Kong.

 

The Sexy Fish concept from Caprice Holdings is opening at Spinningfields in Manchester. It has taken on 15,000 square feet retail unit that was previously occupied by Armani. Sexy Fish’s first restaurant is on Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair.

 

The Chestnut pub group is opening in Holt in Norfolk, after taking on The Feathers there. Chestnut now has 15 pubs in its estate across east Anglia.

 

A restaurant and delivery brand are opening at the Regent Circus development in Swindon on 15 December, local media report. They are woodfired pizza brand Dough & Co and burger concept Burger Amour, which have nine more co-located sites around the east and south east of England.

 

US brand Wendy’s has agreed its first drive-through site as it continues a UK rollout. It is taking a site at the Northern Gateway Leisure Park scheme in Colchester in Essex, work on which starts early next year. Wendy’s is also readying openings in places including Brighton, Croydon and Romford.

 

Competitive socialising brand Flight Club is opening in Cardiff, local media report. It has applied for permission to launch on St Mary Street in the city. Flight Club recently opened its fifth UK location in Bristol, with another to follow in Cheltenham early next year.

 

HoH Food Hall, a major new 30,000 square feet food hall with around a dozen food and drink operators, will open in Hull on 3 December. It is housed in the Hammonds of Hull building, which is a redevelopment of an old House of Fraser department store.

 

The Gladwin Brothers group is about to open a new pub and restaurant called The Fat Badger on Hill Rise in Richmond. The Gladwins already run London operations in Chelsea, Notting Hill, Battersea and Soho.

 

A new Japanese-Peruvian fusion premium casual restaurant called Nakanojo has opened on Kings Road in London, Sloane Stanley has announced. The 4,500 square feet venue has 90 covers.

 

London vegetarian restaurant group Mildreds is about to open a new venture called Mallow in Borough Market. It joins branches of Mildreds in Camden, Dalston, Kings Cross and Soho.
