New Openings Roundup 7th June

The latest news on venues opening across the UK.

The Breakfast Club is about to open its latest site at St Pancras International Station in London. It will be the brand’s 16th location.  

 

The Arc Inspirations group has confirmed new openings in Nottingham and Sheffield in the Autumn. It will open a Manahatta venue in Nottingham while the Sheffield launch will be for the BOX brand, following Manahatta’s launch in the city. Arc is also lining up a Manahatta launch in Edinburgh. 

 

Nando’s opened its latest new restaurant at the Bishop Centre in Taplow in Buckinghamshire this week. 

 

The Zaap Thai group is opening a new sister brand called Gai Zaap on Upper Parliament Street in Nottingham shortly. It will be a chicken-focused restaurant. Zaap Thai has six other sites in the north of England. 

 

Street food, bar and events group Boxpark is opening in Camden, after taking on operations for the Buck Street Market there. The 12,000 square feet will be Boxpark’s fifth location in London after Shoreditch, Croydon, Wembley and the City. There are also Boxparks in Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool. 

 

Loungers is opening a new Lounge in an old bank building in Newmarket in Suffolk, local media report.  

 

The Daisy Green restaurant group has just opened in Holland Park. It now has 16 sites around London. 

 

Competitive socialising brand TOCA Social has just opened at Birmingham’s Bullring & Grand Central development. It is the brand’s second UK site after the O2 in London. 

 

US brand Popeyes has just opened at The Mall in Luton as it continues a rapid rollout in the UK. 

 

Denmark-based steakhouse brand KöD is opening a second London restaurant on St Anne’s Court in Soho in July. The other KöD is on Devonshire Square in the City, and there are six more locations in Denmark and Norway. 

 

 

Neapolitan-style pizza group Monte Forte, which has restaurants in Horsham, Redhill and Reigate, will open at the Brightwells Yard development in Farnham in August. 

 

Greek street food style group Mr Souvlaki is about to open in Banbury. The site on Broad Street succeeds a kiosk operation in the town. Mr Souvlaki also has restaurants in Cheltenham and Leamington 

 

Marco Pierre White’s restaurants group is opening at the Brook hotel in Felixstowe in Suffolk, local media report. The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill will launch in late June. 

 

Las Iguanas has just opened a 200-cover restaurant at the Middlebrook retail park in Bolton.

 

Vietnamese brand Madame Pho is launching a fourth restaurant on Ormeau Road in south Belfast. 

 

Bobo, a Spanish brand with restaurants in Liverpool and West Kirby, is opening a third site on Princess Street at the Chester Northgate development next year.  

 

Burmese restaurant concept Lahpet is opening a third site in Bermondsey. It follows launches in Shoreditch and Covent Garden.
