London is open: come see for yourself

The Peach 20/20 Atlantic Club is back ‘live’ this September and heading for London, the beating heart of the UK restaurant, pub and bar market.

Peach 20/20 Atlantic Club, September 21 & 22

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on hospitality across the globe. The scars are still raw, no more so than in the renowned international food and drink destination that is London.

But Britain’s capital and its hospitality businesses are reawakening and rebooting. Many familiar names have gone, but new operators and new locations are emerging to meet the challenge of the new trading landscape.

That’s why Atlantic Club will be back on tour in London on September 21 & 22 – with a group of international and UK operators and investors, visiting concepts, meeting fellow leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators ‘face-to-face’ and getting under the skin of the city as it rediscovers its old vibrancy.

The Atlantic Club tour will be hosted by Peach 20/20 founder Peter Martin, who said:

We like to keep Atlantic Club events intimate and are expecting around 30 operators and investors to join us on this fact-finding trip. As well as seeing operations first-hand, talking to owners, both from corporates and start-ups, and gaining valuable market knowledge from expert advisors, the big benefit from our previous trips is the relationships and contacts that operators forge from meeting and spending time with their peers.”

The trip starts with a reception on the evening of September 21 and ends over beers on the evening of September 22, with a full day’s programme in between, including insight sessions from UKHospitality and CGA and briefings on latest design, branding and people trends from Harrison and Harri.

Site visits already lined up include Flight Club, where we’ll hear from co-founder Paul Barham on the brand’s international expansion plans, and KERB, where we’ll discover how street food and new food entrepreneurs are shaping up,” added Peter Martin.

With a host of international brands, like Wingstop and Tim Horton, now setting their sights on UK growth, we’ll be finding out why they feel so optimistic about the British market too.”

Fact-finding will continue on September 23 & 24, with Atlantic Club members being invited to visit The Casual Dining Show at Excel in London, the UK’s leading out-of-home exhibition.

The London trip, which is being run in partnership with Harrison, Harri, CGA and The Casual Dining Show, will be the first ‘face-to-face’ Atlantic Club event since the start of the pandemic, and follows previous events in Manchester, Washington DC, Dallas and Chicago. In between, Atlantic Club has broadcast a series of international webinars on global market trends, see https://bit.ly/Peach2020_YT.

If you are an operator or owner who would like to join the party, get in touch with the club’s business manager Sophie Spedding, via sophie.spedding@peach2020.com.

Atlantic Club is an informal, invitation-only forum bringing together like-minded business leaders, brand-owners and entrepreneurs, restaurant and bar operators, from across the global food and drink spectrum. Its role is to help de-risk companies’ international strategies, by allowing senior executives to come together to gain new insights, exchange views and experiences, understand different market conditions and new working practices, to connect with and learn from both global and local experts, and develop contacts and partnerships in a confidential environment, while experiencing new places and ideas. Atlantic Club is now part of the Peach 20/20 events programme. See https://www.peach2020.com/atlantic-club
