The team behind Manchester’s Brewski and American Pies concepts are launching a new Texan-style smokehouse restaurant called Big Tray BBQ at Quayside in Salford in the autumn. The 5,200 square feet unit will have counter service and barbecue items served by weight.
Prezzo Italian will shortly open its first new restaurant in five years in Edinburgh, after acquiring a unit on George Street that was previously occupied by Gusto. Prezzo has also lined up a new opening in Rugby in September.

Yangguofu Malatang, which has roots in Sichuan street food and offers customisable hot pots, has taken a 3,200 square feet site with 100 covers.
The Ludo Sports and Live Lounge brand is to open a major 700-capacity venue in Cardiff in September. The venue on St Mary Street will be in a unit previously occupied by The Alchemist. It is a third and largest location for Ludo, after Bath and Exeter.
Street food collective Kerb has just opened a new sports bar and restaurant called Kerb Social Club at Brushfield Street on the edge of Spitalfields market. Kerb has also just opened a market at Canada Water.

A new Arcade food hall is opening on Bedford Street in Covent Garden next year, according to reports. Arcade has taken over a site that was previously occupied by TGI Fridays. Arcade currently operates in Battersea and Tottenham Court Road.
The Big Belly Hospitality group is reviving the Richoux café and restaurant brand with an opening on Langham Place off Regent Street in September. Richoux was founded in 1909 but closed all its venues in 2021. A second site is planned in Tower Bridge.
