The Individual Restaurants group opened its latest new Piccolino restaurant on the High Street in Marlow this week.
US-based fast food brand Carl’s Jr is to launch in the UK and Ireland in a franchise partnership with Boparan Restaurant Group. Locations for openings are yet to be announced. Carl’s Jr has around 100 restaurants elsewhere in Europe, and more than 1,000 around the world.
The L’ETO restaurant and café group has opened its latest new branch on Long Acre within The Yards in London’s Covent Garden. The 3,500 square feet location is the brand’s tenth location in London. It also operates around 30 sites in the Middle East.
Mulligans, the crazy golf, arcade and competitive socialising concept from the Adventure Leisure group, will open at the Jarman Park development in Hemel Hempstead in July. Adventure Leisure has also acquired another site for Mulligans, on North Street in Guildford.
The Blend group has opened Cambridge Street Collective, a new 27,000 square feet food hall in Sheffield that it claims is the largest purpose-built hall in Europe. It features 20 street food vendors, four bars, an outdoor area and a rooftop terrace with a focus on Asian food. The venue is also home to the Blend Culinary Foundation and Community Kitchen.
Pizza Pilgrims has set 10 June for the opening of its latest new restaurant on Eversholt Street, near Euston station in London.
The Eight Arch Brewing Co in Dorset has just opened a new brewery and taproom at the Stone Lane estate in Wimborne.
Leeds-based Vietnamese restaurant Pho 37 is to open a second site in the city in July, at the Merrion Centre. The original Pho 37 restaurant is in the Headingley area of Leeds.
Edinburgh restaurant, café and bar group Vittoria has just opened a sixth site in the city. The Brunswick Book Club is located on Brunswick Street in the Leith area of Edinburgh.
Japanese restaurant and bar group Kibou will open on Little Clarendon Street in the Jericho area of Oxford in July, local media report. It will be a sixth location for the brand, after Battersea, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Clifton and Solihull.
The Brindisa group is opening a second branch of its Bar Kroketa brand at St Christopher’s Place in London on 10 June. The original Bar Kroketa is on Beak Street in Soho.
Competitive socialising concept Ballerz opened at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent this week. The 30,000 square feet venue is in a purpose-built dome with room for 500 people.
The South Wales-based Croeso Pubs group is opening in Penarth after securing the lease of the Bear’s Head, a pub previously run by JD Wetherspoon. It will become Croeso’s eighth location when it opens in early July.
US fried chicken brand Wingstop has acquired a unit at the Middlebrook development in Bolton. It opened its 45th UK location at the Croydon Valley retail park this week.
