The latest news on venues opening across the UK.

Indian Tiffin Room has opened a fourth restaurant in north west England—on Duke Street in Liverpool. The other three Tiffin Rooms are in Cheadle, Leeds and Manchester.

 

Vietnamese restaurant group Pho has set 18 March for its latest new opening, on Renfield Street in Glasgow. It will be a second site in Scotland for Pho, after Edinburgh.

 

JW Lees has just opened a new pub in central Manchester. The launch of The Founder’s Hall on Albert Square follows a £900,000 refurbishment of a unit that was previously occupied by Duttons.

 

Berkshire brewery Siren Craft Brew plans to open a tap room in the Station Hill development in Reading in May. It will be a 3,800 square feet unit with around 30 beer taps.

 

Indian restaurant group Akbar’s will open a new flagship site by King George’s Hall in Blackburn’s Cultural Quarter next week. It will be the 13th UK location for the brand.

 

Heartwood Collection has opened the White Horse in Dorking—its first pub restaurant with rooms. It has a restaurant with 100 covers and 56 bedrooms. Heartwood plans to open several more pubs with rooms this year.

 

The Roxy Leisure group has just opened the latest branch of its Roxy Ball Room competitive socialising brand, at the Stonebow in York.

 

Loungers has submitted plans to open a venue in Whitby, in a pub unit that has been empty for more than a year.

 

The St Austell Brewery and Harbour Brewing Co have created a joint venture on a pub opening in Charlestown in Cornwall. The Harbour Beer House will open in the summer. St Austell has a minority stake in Harbour.

 

Bun & Sum, a smash burger restaurant in Mile End, has just opened a second site in Hackney, with a third to follow in Camden Market.

 

North west burger group Burgerism is to launch in Denton in Greater Manchester—a fifth location for the group.

 

Hollywood Bowl will open its latest new site in Dundee on 20 May, local media report.

 

The HAM Restaurants group is opening a fourth London site in late March—Crispin at Studio Voltaire in Clapham.

 

Chelsea-based Mexican restaurant Azteca will open a second site in Battersea Rise next week, in a unit previously occupied by The Breakfast Club.

 

Noodle brand Chopstix has opened another venue in partnership with Welcome Break, at the Corley South service station off the M6.

 

Pan-Asian group Oodles is about to open on Commercial Street in Portsmouth, local media report.

 

Pranzo, a Yorkshire-based Italian group with restaurants in Ilkley and Harrogate, will open a third site in Horsforth in May.
