The latest news on venues opening across the UK.

 

Pizza Pilgrims has set 10 June for the opening of its latest new restaurant near Euston station in London. The group plans four new openings in total this year, with another site in London to follow in King’s Cross in November. It will also launch in Cardiff in August and Edinburgh by December—its first restaurants in Wales and Scotland. 

 

PizzaExpress opens at the South Terminal of London Gatwick Airport next week. It will be the brand’s first UK airport restaurant and will have a breakfast offer as well as lunch and dinner. The opening is under a partnership with Airport Retail Enterprises. 

 

Big Table Group’s Las Iguanas brand opens at the Middlebrook shopping and leisure development in Bolto

n this weekend. It is occupying a unit that was previously run by Chiquito. 

 

Indian street food style restaurant brand Mowgli is opening at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet in Bridgend in the summer. It will be Mowgli’s second site in Wales after Cardiff. 

 

 

Rosa’s Thai is preparing a new opening in Reading, local media report. It is in an old department store unit on King Street in the town. 

 

Loungers has just opened the Vallado Lounge at the Vangarde shopping and retail centre near York. Loungers has also just confirmed an opening for its Cosy Club brand on Holly Street in Sheffield, in a unit that was previously occupied by Pitcher & Piano. 

 

Brewer and pub operator Brakspear is opening in Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire after acquiring the Lamb pub.

 

Pizza Hut has confirmed it will open a restaurant and takeaway in the Hillington area of Glasgow shortly.  

 

The Riverside East development soft launches at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford in east London next week. It will have a riverside café called The Yard, street food vendors, markets, restaurant, rooftop terrace and bar, plus regular events. 

 

Elephant & Castle restaurant Bobo Social is set to launch a second site at the Filmworks development in Ealing by the end of the month. 

 

Glasgow pub operator The Lovable Rogue has announced a third opening in the city, after acquiring the Sur Lie restaurant on Nithsdale Road in the Southside area. It is scheduled to open in late June. 

 

Greggs has reached the milestone of 2,500 locations with an opening on a petrol station forecourt in Cobham in Surrey. 

 

Searcys is launching a new restaurant and bar at Surveyors House on Great George Street in Westminster in the autumn, under a partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. 

 

Forza Wine is opening a bar called Forza Taps at the National Theatre by the Thames in London next week. Forza also runs a restaurant there and has another site in Peckham. 

 

Notting Hill restaurant Sunday in Brooklyn is opening a second site on James Street in Marylebone in the summer.
