Jurriaan van der Schee (pictured left), leader of the TriSpan private equity team that has just acquired a majority stake in Thai café brand Rosa’s, will share the story of the deal and his views on investment at CGA’s Future of Finance conference in London on June 21.

Van der Schee, TriSpan’s head of Europe & TMENA private equity, has been in the spotlight this week after supporting the buyout of the 13-strong restaurant group. TriSpan partner and former YO! Sushi chief executive Robin Rowland will now become non-executive chairman of Rosa’s, supporting managing director Gavin Adair and founders Saiphin and Alex Moore in their ambitious expansion plans, which include three more new openings before the end of 2018.

Hot on the heels of the deal, Jurriaan van der Schee will be perfectly placed to talk about investment opportunities in the market and the growth potential of casual dining brands. He will be part of an expert Future of Finance panel discussing market hot spots and black spots, alongside Paul Newman, head of hospitality and leisure at RSM, and Mark Sheehan, managing director at Coffer Corporate Leisure.

The Future of Finance conference will hear from a host of other industry experts. They include Deltic CEO Peter Marks, Burger King UK Alasdair Murdoch and Various Eateries CEO Sue Walter, who will join forces to analyse the impact of changes on the high street on growth and investment in the sector. The trio will also scope some of the opportunities for operators and investors, and take a look at the value of performance data.

Another conference panel will review how technology is disrupting the sector—whether for better or worse. Speakers with first-hand experience of restaurant, pub and bar tech are PizzaExpress IT director Siobhan Fagan, The Restaurant Group CIO Simon Iddon and YFood partner and CMO Athena Simpson.

Kate Nicholls, CEO of UK Hospitality, will meanwhile consider the impact of Brexit and policy developments within government on the out of home eating and drinking markets, while Barclaycard’s programme director James McDonald will advise on how brands can keep pace with change in pay technology.

CGA vice president and renowned industry expert Peter Martin will chair proceedings, while CGA director Karl Chessell and client director Fiona Speakman will talk on the make-up of the market and pricing strategies respectively.

Future of Finance is run in partnership with BarclaycardCoffer Corporate LeisureCPL OnlineFourthRSM, and Zonal. The invitation-only event takes place at the 30 Euston Square State Room in London on June 21. Click here to apply for a place.
