CGA by NIQ is proud to be a partner on the event, and our data highlights the dynamism of Brighton’s pub, bar and restaurant scene at the moment. Drinks sales by value in managed venues have climbed by an above-average 6% year-on-year, and outlets in the town brought in an average of £13,930 per week in the last quarter—£393 more than the national average. Brighton’s outlet numbers have held up well throughout COVID restrictions and the cost of living crisis, remaining level between March 2022 and March 2023, despite a 4.3% drop in sites across Britain during that time.
Big themes in a packed agenda for the day include the impacts and opportunities brought by Artificial Intelligence and automation, and how good data analytics can unlock more guest spending. There will also be a look at ways to build sustainable pipelines of new openings in the regions beyond London, and a head-to-head interview with Sessions founder and CEO Dan Warne.
Other speakers during the day will include the Azzurri Group’s Joel Robinson, Data Hawks’ Victoria Searl, Springbok AI’s Victoria Albrecht, Toggle & Airship’s Dan Brookman, Pizza Pilgrims’ Thom Elliot, Black Rock Restaurant Group’s Razak Helalat, Red Engine’s Juliette Keyte and Sessions’ Olivia Reid—all chaired by Peach 20/20 founder Peter Martin, who will use CGA data to provide an expert overview of the eating out scene in 2023.
The afternoon’s sessions will be followed by drinks and networking at a party at Sessions’ seafront venue Shelter Hall, which features rotating kitchens and bars and acts as an incubator for some of hospitality’s most exciting new concepts.
Peach @ The Beach takes place in Brighton from 1pm on Wednesday 21 June, and free places are reserved for senior leaders, founders and entrepreneurs in the eating out industry. Click here for more information and to request an invite from the Peach 20/20 team.
