Full house for Peach 2020

This year’s Peach 2020 conference and Hero & Icon Awards dinner is now officially fully booked – again proving to be the leading annual gathering for leaders of the UK eating and drinking-out market.

The exclusive, invitation-only event for the sector’s top executives and entrepreneurs – run by CGA, the sector’s leading research and insight consultancy – is being held at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, on Wednesday, November 22. It will be followed in the evening by the annual Peach Hero & Icon Awards dinner, honouring the best in the industry.

Headlining the conference will be Leon co-founder John Vincent MBE, winner of the Individual of the Year title at last year’s Peach Hero & Icon Awards, who will take to the stage for a head-to-head interview with CGA’s Peter Martin.

Also giving their perspectives on the many challenges and opportunities for the sector will the four members of the conference’s Leaders’ Panel: Paul Moran, managing director of multi-brand business Living Ventures; pub entrepreneur and boss of Oakman Inns, Peter Borg-Neal; pop-up retail and brands entrepreneur Roger Wade, the founder of London’s Boxpark; and Laura Harper-Hinton, creative director at Caravan and one of the founding forces behind the iconic and growing coffee and all-day restaurant and bar concept.

ALMR’s chief executive Kate Nicholls will lead the political discussion session on the day.

The theme for the day is “What’s coming down the track” – and key to future success will understanding the implications of what’s new and changing in consumer tastes and habits, customer communications, legislation and technology will be key to success in the out-of-home market in 2018. They are all on the conference agenda.

Data expert Christine Andrews, former senior VP of global customer services at Cable & Wireless and now managing director of the DQM GRC consultancy, will spell out the impact on both customer and team communications of the up-coming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – and how it may or may not change the way we do business.

CGA’s own team will present the latest thinking on consumer trends and habits – and what’s changed over the last year  – while We Are Spectacular’s Mark McCulloch will suggest different ways of engaging with an ever experimental public, highlighting the new techniques gaining traction.

Alexandra Martin, CGA’s own expert on the US drinks market, will contrast the bar trends on both sides of the Atlantic – and pick out the tastes now tempting American consumers which we think will soon be shaping bar menus on this side of the pond.

Concluding the analysis of ‘What’s coming down the track’ will be Nadia el Hadery, managing director of Yfood and the driving force behind London Food Tech Week, who will package up the tech trends and innovations most likely to help the out-of-home market enhance both its customer appeal and internal efficiencies.

Peter Martin will again chair the afternoon’s proceedings with CGA ceo Phil Tate.

“We will be presenting and debating the latest views on both consumer and business confidence within the eating and drinking-out market, as well as mapping out the shifting shape of the sector. We’ll be hearing from investors in the audience as well as market experts and business leaders on where they think the out-of-home market is heading and the challenges it faces. It’s going to be a phenomenal day,” said Tate.

The conference and awards dinner are both strictly invitation-only events, with places reserved for senior executives in operating companies. Bookings are now closed, but if you wish to be put on the waiting list, visit here.
