CGA vice president Peter Martin has been honoured with the Special Award for services to the casual dining industry at the Casual Dining show’s 2018 Restaurant and Pub Awards.
He received the Award in recognition of his role at the heart of the eating and drinking out sector over more than three decades—as a journalist, editor, media owner, market analyst and board consultant. He has created sector-leading publications and events including the M&C Report and Peach Factory, which was acquired by CGA in 2013.
Peter is renowned as the leading commentator on the pubs, bars and restaurants business, and speaks and presents at important industry events in the UK and internationally, including CGA’s own programme of conferences. He is a founder of the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers.
Other winners at the 2018 Casual Dining Restaurant and Pub Awards included Living Ventures, which won three categories including the Casual Dining Group of the Year. Wagamama was named Large Multi-site Restaurant Brand of the Year, and Brewhouse & Kitchen the Multi-site Pub Operator of the Year.
