As the UK hospitality sector gradually reopens for business, CGA has geared up its data and insight operations, developing new services and collaborations to support suppliers and operators through the vital early phases of recovery.
A new partnership with Wireless Social will see its up-to-the-minute footfall data published alongside CGA’s sales, openings and consumer sentiment insight. Latest Wireless Social numbers show that footfall over the reopening weekend was the highest it has been since lockdown started, with the UK Saturday footfall being 55% below average February levels and Sunday being 63% behind this base.
CGA, the out-of-home market’s leading research and insight specialist, will now be providing the market with weekly updates on trading via the Coffer Peach Business Tracker and its new Drinks Recovery Tracker, as well as more detailed reports and briefings for clients.
For example, its RISE sales planning and outlet prospecting tool will provide a view of all re-opening outlets, including outlet attribute information, volume band, local demographic profile, local affluence profile and footfall from Wireless Social.
Throughout the lockdown, CGA has provided in-depth consumer, operator and staff sentiment insight, as well as sales data from the US market from its Chicago-based Nielsen CGA operation, and those services will continue as well.
