CGA by NIQ launches On Premise Measurement service for full view of bar and restaurant sales performance across Canada

Following other markets globally, most notably in North America, where it’s been the industry leading solution in the US for the last 8+ years, CGA’s flagship service will now enable Beverage Alcohol Suppliers to track Canadian market share and trends within the industry for Spirits and Beer categories. Providing a comprehensive market read of manufacturer, categories, and brands, OPM is a statistically robust model of the sales of drinks in bars and restaurants; delivering reads on volume, value, distribution, and average price across products.


With limited visibility on sales performance nationally and in select provinces, OPM will bring light into the dark space of reporting, showing the channel’s true performance with sales out of bars and restaurants as opposed to what’s been shipped to accounts. CGA by NIQ’s OPM Spirits database will be launching in December, followed by Beer in February 2024. Together, both databases will allow suppliers to view On Premise performance collectively across US and Canada in the same format, reporting across the same periods.
