Yfood’s London Food Tech Week launches with a host of events and activities next Monday (30 October)—and CGA will be closely involved.

CGA vice president Peter Martin will be one of the week’s key chairs and speakers, presenting an authoritative overview of the UK’s restaurant industry. He will draw on CGA’s suite of expert research services to spotlight the key trends in the market and analyse confidence levels among both business leaders and consumers – and the future role of technology in the sector as both a driver of efficiencies and an enhancer of the consumer experience.

Martin will present his session on Thursday 2 November, as part a CGA-sponsored day of events themed around the future of out-of-home eating and the impact of technology. Other sessions on the day will include a panel conversation with YO! Sushi chief executive Robin Rowland, Wagamama’s customer director Emma Woods and former Pret a Manger marketing director Mark Palmer.

There’s an idea-pitching event with Hospitality Tech and drop-in sessions with the Food Standards Agency and Elior Group.

London Food Tech Week runs from Monday 30 October to Friday 3 November. Other themes of the event include trends in healthy eating, high-tech consumer engagement and the role of food in the evolution of big cities. Events will be staged in various venues across central London.
