Springboard jumps into jobs promotion

Hospitality charity Springboard is taking part in a new campaign by the Department of Work and Pensions to promote hospitality as a career.

Hospitality charity Springboard is taking part in a new campaign by the Department of Work and Pensions to promote hospitality as a career.

The ‘Hospitality Works’ initiative is being run in around 700 UK job centres, to which Springboard is sending various careers materials and tips for working in the sector. Springboard teams are also running workshops in centres around the country, and the charity has revamped its Careerscope website as a better place for people to find case studies, video content and other careers information.

Springboard’s careers and education director Abby Paterson said: “We are delighted to be working with DWP on this campaign to promote the industry and the vast array of opportunities available to those considering a career or seeking employment in hospitality.”

The Hospitality Works promotion also involves the British Hospitality Association as well as the DWP.
