Canadian brand Mary Brown’s Chicken will open restaurants in Preston and Southampton in March and April respectively. It announced the openings in plans to launch around 150 international locations in the next five years. More new venues across the UK are in the pipeline.
Loungers has set 30 April for the opening of its new Vetro Lounge at the Forge Island development in Rotherham. The group opened its latest new site called Saludo Lounge this week in Workington in Cumbria.
Fuller’s is opening a pub in Twickenham after acquiring the freehold of the White Swan there.
South African brand Jimmy’s Killer Prawns has just launched under franchise on Derby Road in Nottingham. It is a third UK site after Birmingham and Manchester, with a fourth to follow soon in Leicester.
Gail’s has applied for permission to open on Union Street in Bath, local media report. It continues an expansion in the south west that will see it launch on College Green in Bristol in late March.
Roots & Seeds, a Cirencester café and restaurant, is to launch a second site at Gloucester Food Dock.
Keu, a Vietnamese street food style brand run by the Vietnamese Kitchen Group, has just opened on London Bridge Road in the Borough area. It is a fourth location for Keu after Shoreditch, Soho and Wall in the City.
Two new operators have signed for units at the Merry Hill development in the West Midlands: Heavenly Desserts, which will launch in April; and Burger & Sauce, which will follow later in the year.
Lendlease has announced the opening of The Coffee House by Signorelli at the Turing Building in Stratford Cross. It is Signorelli’s fourth site in Stratford.
Roxy Ball Room, the competitive socialising brand run by the Professionals at Play group, has set 10 April for the opening of its first London venue, at St Mary Axe in the City. It will bring the Roxy Ball Room estate to 12.
Liverpool’s Ma Pub Group is opening a fourth venue in the city, after acquiring the Newington Temple pub. It will reopen after refurbishment in mid-March.
Taiwanese restaurant group Din Tai Fung opened its latest new restaurant at Crossrail Place in Canary Wharf this week. It is a fourth site, after Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Riad and Selfridges on Oxford Street.
US brand Popeyes will open its latest new restaurant on the high street in Sutton next week. It will bring Popeyes’ UK estate to 71.
The 081 Pizzeria restaurant in Peckham has announced a second opening on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch. The 2,000 square feet site will launch in April.
