The Ladies of Restaurants group is marking International Women’s Day with a free event at Old Spitalfields Market on Thursday 8 March.
It is intended to celebrate women’s achievements in the hospitality and leisure sectors, inspire rising stars of the industry and debate some of the big issues facing female leaders. Subjects of talks and workshops will include ways to progress the equality of women in management roles and salaries, the challenge of sexism and sexual harassment and finding the right work-life balance. The day will end with a party to celebrate International Women’s Day, open to both women and men.
Sessions will be led by Ladies of Restaurants founders Libby Andrews of Pho and Natalia Ribbe of the Eighty Six List. Speakers include Tonkotsu’s Emma Reynolds, Hawksmoor’s Niamh Scott-Szyzmczyk and Bleecker Burger’s Zan Kaufman.
The event takes place at The Kitchens at Old Spitalfields Market. All sessions are free, though advance booking is recommended. Click here for more information and to reserve spaces.
