Rapid change in the use of technology in the out of home eating and drinking space will be under the spotlight at Yfood’s London Food Tech Week from 20 to 24 May.
CGA is pleased to be an official media partner of the Week, which takes place in various locations around the capital. It provides a showcase of companies using technology to transform the food ecosystem, and space to learn, network and collaborate across five days of speaker events and other activities.
The event will be an important opportunity for restaurants, pubs and bars to improve their knowledge and use of tech in hospitality. It comes as CGA’s Business Leaders’ Survey reveals that only one in eight (13%) bosses in the sector consider their business to be market-leading in technology innovation—with a third (34%) admitting they are behind the curve. Around half (51%) plan to increase investment in technology in 2019—a figure that has jumped by 11 percentage points on 2018.
Each day of London Food Tech Week features its own theme, including technology in the home on Monday, food and drink on Tuesday, retail on Wednesday, and out of home eating and drinking on Thursday. Attendance is via ‘Passports’ that offer varying levels of access to activities, including extra invite-only and networking events.
CGA’s Karl Chessell and Fiona Speakman (pictured) from the Food and Retail team will be attending and welcome conversations about the latest trends in the food technology market.
