PizzaExpress has launched its new grab-and-go concept called Za by Fenchurch Street station in the City. It is open every day for breakfast from 7am, and sells pizza by the slice as well as hot wraps, soups and dough balls and cold items. PizzaExpress is planning more sites for the brand if it proves successful. The opening is a conversion of a PizzaExpress restaurant.
TGI Fridays has announced it will open at the Middlebrook leisure and retail park in Bolton on 21 March. It has taken on an old retail unit next to the complex’s cinema.

Fried chicken concept Mother Clucker opened at London Stansted airport this week, as part of SSP’s street food style Camden Bar & Kitchen offer there. Mother Clucker operates permanent sites at Exmouth Market and Flat Iron Square, as well as mobile operations at the Truman Brewery and Street Feast’s Hawker House venue.
3Sixty Restaurants’ Mediterranean restaurant group Ego is to open at the Punchbowl pub in Sefton, the Liverpool Echo reports. It follows the closure of Ego on Hope Street in Liverpool after 18 years there, and is part of a strategy of rolling out Ego to pub locations.
Coppa Club, the restaurant and bar brand operated by Various Eateries, is to open in Streatley in Berkshire in the summer. It will be a sixth site, after Tower Bridge and St Paul’s in London, and Henley, Maidenhead and Sonning beyond the capital.

The team behind pan-Asian restaurant group Bon has opened a new Japanese noodle restaurant called Naked Noodle on Bold Street in Liverpool this week. Bon operates a restaurant elsewhere in Liverpool, as well as in Stoke.
Pakistani supper club Shola opens a permanent restaurant at the White City development on the site of the old BBC building in west London on Monday (11 March).
An American-Italian restaurant and bar concept called Smoke & Dough is joining the line-up at the Liverpool ONE development. It has taken a 7,000 square feet unit on the Terrace that was previously occupied by Red Hot World Buffet. Smoke & Dough will have an open kitchen smokehouse and will sell sourdough pizza.
Coffeehouse brand The Gentleman Baristas has opened a seventh London site, at Flat Iron Square. It uses coffee from its own roastery at Shadwell. The operator’s other sites are at Borough, Fitzrovia, Southwark, London Bridge, East India Docks and the O2.

A major new street food collective is to launch this summer as part of the redevelopment of Buck Street Market in Camden. The revamp will introduce 52 shipping container units over 12,000 square feet and three levels. Operators for the scheme have yet to be announced.
