Learn the story behind the deals at CGA’s Future of Finance seminar

How will healthy fast-food chain Leon use the £25m raised from private equity last month and why did Imbiba decide to invest a private members club? Find out the answers at this year’s CGA Peach Future of Finance conference in London on June 20.

Leon’s managing director John Upton and sector investor Darrel Connell of Imbiba Partners are just two of the top-notch speakers lined up for this month’s invitation-only event at 30 Euston Square. Among other things, Upton will discuss Leon’s continuing opportunities for growth in the UK and overseas, while Connell will outline the openings for entrepreneurial businesses, including Imbiba’s latest investment Purple Dragon

They will be joined on stage by the likes of industry icon Robin Rowland OBE, boss of YO! Sushi and non-executive director at Marston’s and Caffe Nero, Jamie Oliver Group’s CFO Tara O’Neill and non-exec director at Genuine Dining Co, Feng Sushi and Brighton Pier Paul Viner.

Rowland, one of the sector’s most experienced executives, will help set the agenda for the day in a session with CGA’s own Peter Martin, discussing how the economy, consumer confidence and investment is being, and will be, affected post-Election and in the run up to Brexit – and what it will mean for the broad eating and drinking out market.

Other industry experts on the seminar roster include leading property expert Trevor Watson of Davis Coffer Lyons and top market analyst Douglas Jack of Peel Hunt.

The CGA team will also be on hand to provide extra insight and context – revealing the results of our latest quarterly confidence survey among senior executives in restaurant, bar, and pub market.

The agenda will look at how data can help inform decision-making, specifically speakers will be addressing:

  • Valuing local markets
  • Cost pressures and the price challenge
  • Where are the winners in the new market landscape?

The afternoon will conclude with Upton, O’Neill and Viner in a panel discussion focusing on how businesses are going to find growth opportunities in a highly competitive market, where costs are rising and confidence is under pressure? Who has a competitive edge? Who’s going to succeed, who’s going to struggle? What will be the next big disruptive innovation?

These and many more questions will all be addressed at the Future of Finance Seminar 2017, to be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 30 Euston Square, London.

The audience will be made up largely of CFOs, CEOs, non-executive directors, investors and entrepreneurs of all types. The invitation-only event is free to operators – to apply for a place please email hello@cgapeach.co.uk

The seminar is organised in partnership with Barclaycard, Coffer Corporate Leisure, CPL, Fourth, RSM and Zonal.
