How is the boom in delivery changing the eating-out landscape?

What does this say about changing consumer habits and the future shape of the eating out market? Deliveroo’s UK managing director Dan Warne will be talking about the opportunities, economics and challenges of the current delivery boom at next week’s CGA Peach Future of Finance & Development seminar in London.

CGA Peach research shows that almost 29m consumers had food delivered at least once in the last six months. What does this say about changing consumer habits and the future shape of the eating out market? Deliveroo’s UK managing director Dan Warne will be talking about the opportunities, economics and challenges of the current delivery boom at next week’s CGA Peach Future of Finance & Development seminar in London.

How fast-changing technologies – like those driving the new delivery companies – will shape the public’s future spending habits will also be the topic for discussion for Barclaycard’s Director of Innovation and Strategic Initiatives James McDonald.

Then impact of delivery on sales will be just one of the many questions to be addressed by the conference’s roster of high profile operators and investors, including Café Rouge founder, former Spirit Group CEO and sector investor Karen Jones CBE, who will be the subject for the head-to-head interview with CGA Peach’s Peter Martin. Also speaking will be Living Ventures boss Jeremy Roberts, Brasserie Bar Co founder Mark Derry, Busaba Eathai ceo Jason Myers and Matt Scriven, founder of the Birmingham-based Bitters’n’Twisted group.

Also on the programme, at this year’s invitation-only event at Kings Place, London, on June 23, are Sarah Fox, head of speciality leasing at Hammersons, and Camilla Topham, director, development and London Estates leasing, at Davis Coffer Lyons, who will explain the changing property and retail landscape and the openings for food and drink operators, while ALMR’s chief executive Kate Nicholls will map out the political landscape, especially as it relates to property, investment and development.

CGA Peach director Jamie Campbell will provide the backdrop to the day with an analysis of latest sector sales, consumer spending and development hotspots data.

The day will be chaired by CGA Peach’s Peter Martin.

The invitation-only event is being held at Kings Place, Kings Cross, London. Proceedings start at 2pm. The audience will be made up of chief executives, finance directors and investors from both established and emerging food and drink businesses.
