Cabana is also heading to Newcastle, with an opening on Newgate Street.

Miller & Carter will open on St Vincent Street in Glasgow on 4 March. It will be a 200-cover restaurant and its second in Scotland.

Harry Ramsden’s will open a new concept restaurant at the Cheshire Oaks development on Saturday (13 February). It will see customers order at a counter and then have their food delivered to their tables. Harry Ramsden’s also opened in Newmarket on Monday (8 February), with Marine Point in New Brighton following on 23 February.

Caribbean operator Turtle Bay has applied for a license to open on Swan Lane in Norwich, local media report.

Geronimo Inns will open the Guard House pub at Berkeley Homes’ Royal Arsenal Riverside development on Friday (12 February). It follows the launch of the Leman Street Tavern in the Goodman Fields development in Whitechapel last week.

The Restaurant Group has applied for permission to open a Chiquito restaurant at the Queensgate Centre in Harlow, according to local media.

Whitbread will open a new Beefeater Bar + Block restaurant concept on Waterloo Street in Birmingham on 7 March (pictured). It is intended to be a modern evolution of its core Beefeater brand, and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with the emphasis on cut-to-order steaks. It is a 3,000 square feet and 173-cover site.

Tapas Revolution will open its fifth restaurant in Sheffield’s Meadowhall next month. It joins sites in Shepherd’s Bush, Bluewater, Shoreditch and Birmingham.

Boyds Grill & Wine Bar launches on Northumberland Avenue by Trafalgar Square on 24 February. It will have lounge, dining room and various bar areas, and open all day from 8am to 11.30pm.

The mobile Street Kitchen operation will launch a permanent site called Hatch in London Fields next Monday (15 February). It is now in soft launch, with both eat-in and takeaway options at lunch and later menus of sharing plates—its first restaurant-style evening offer.

Byron has applied to open in an old cinema on New Street in Birmingham.

An Italian restaurant concept called Al Matarello is being launched in Aldgate. It has been brought over from Italy by Antonio Chiodo, who runs two restaurants in Bologna. He has acquired the site from kosher restaurant Bevis Marks in a deal handled by Christie + Co.
