Pret a Manger’s brand director Caroline Cromar is the latest big name speaker to join the roster for this year’s sell-out Peach 2020 conference and awards night in London next week.
Cromar, who was the driving force behind many of Pret’s latest development, including the trial of a vegetarian-only store in London’s Soho, will join the conference’s Industry Panel, chaired by restaurant entrepreneur James Horler.
Also on the panel tackling the sector’s burning issues are Steve Holmes, CEO of Azzurri Group, whose casual dining brands include Zizzi, ASK Italian and Coco di Mama, Mel Marriott, head of the London-based bar and restaurant start-up Darwin & Wallace, and sector backer Paul Campbell, whose market investments have included Hawksmoor, GBK, New World Trading Company and Hickory’s.
Other conference highlights will include a head-to-head interview with business legend, the former Asda boss and current chairman of Wagamama Allan Leighton, who will be in conversation with CGA’s Peter Martin.
Also on the speakers roster is one of the architects of the renaissance of the North of England, developer and founder of Urban Splash Tom Bloxham MBE.
CGA Strategy CEO Phil Tate will explain what’s driving the push to craft, artisan and premiumisation in the world of alcohol, while Food Tech Week founder Victoria Albrecht will look at how technology is solving big food issues on our Food Futures panel along side Marc Zornes, founder of tech-based food waste start-up Winnow, and Jason Hirst of Evogro.com, which uses state-of-the art lighting, hydroponics and environmental software to help chefs grow their own fresh ingredients on-site.
Helping to host the conference and chair the panel sessions will be industry icons James Horler and Robin Rowland OBE.
The exclusive, invitation-only event is now officially full, with over 300 of the sector’s leading executives and entrepreneurs attending the event at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, next Wednesday November 23. The conference will be followed in the evening by the annual Peach Hero & Icon Awards dinner, honouring the best in the industry.
